Alcohol and other Drugs counselling

This counselling is run by counsellors with experience with complex or challenging AOD behaviours , with the aim to reduce harm to the individual, community and providers, and families.

Many participants with Complex Mental Health diagnosis have a a co-occurring substance use disorder, often involving drug use, which leads to ongoing challenging behaviours.

In such cases, it is pivotal to manage the drug use alongside the behaviours of concern.

In some cases, participants opt to continue using and an AOD counsellor can help a participant understand how to safely use whilst minimising risk.
